Judgment

Modesty creates success. The superior person carries things through.

Within the earth, a mountain: the image of Modesty. The superior person reduces that which is too much and augments that which is too little.

Interpretation

Hexagram 15 teaches that true greatness is found in humility. A mountain hidden within the earth symbolizes inner richness that does not boast. Modesty creates balance — it lifts what is low and tempers what is excessive.
