䷺ 59. Dispersion

Judgment

Dispersion. Success. The king approaches his temple. It furthers one to cross the great water. Perseverance furthers.

The wind drives over the water: the image of Dispersion. The ancient kings sacrificed to the Lord and built temples.

Interpretation

Hexagram 59 speaks of dissolving rigidity and breaking through barriers that divide. Like wind scattering stagnant water, dispersion breaks up hardened patterns — whether in relationships, organizations, or one's own heart. Shared devotion and higher purpose unite what has been divided.
